CANTO DE MUDO was/is an occasional project with music and video of Helena Legaz, Anneleen de Causmaecker, Philippe Van Keymeulen and Jan Van den Broeke. We performed 2 times on Febr. 15 2019 at De Koer in Gent Belgium.
Starting from Brian Eno and Lhasa de Sela classic songs, we tried to immerse ourselves and the public in a surreal world, in which time, space, movement, music and images melt. Guitars, saxes, clarinet, kalimba, percussion, electronics and field recordings let the speechless sing about elusive time, elusive love, infinite dreams. Es ruego el quererte/ Es canto de mudo / Mirada de ciego / Secreto desnudo.
A short excerpt (called Eno-de Sela #1) can be found on the 'Lost And Latest' album, of a text that was written to be read on the outro of the Brian Eno classic 'Spider and I'. Maybe one day we'll perform again.
